Instructional Focus

The Instructional Focus at James Gibbons School is to develop the students' LITERACY and NUMERACY.

Our goal for this school year is that all students will show measurable growth in Literacy as measured by Provincial Achievement Tests, Edmonton Public Schools Highest Level of Achievement Tests and/or teacher-made assessments.

Instructional Focus


Technology is integrated across the curriculum to improve research skills, practice concepts learned in class, and create projects. In addition to a computer lab of thirty student stations, classrooms have been equipped with LCD projectors and interactive whiteboards, and the entire school has been outfitted with wireless access to allow students the use of laptops in all classrooms.
